PO Box 69 Vermont’s Local Banquet is a quarterly magazine that illuminates the connections between local food and Vermont communities. Our stories, interviews, and essays reveal how Vermont residents are building their local food systems, how farmers are faring in a time of great opportunity and challenge, and how Vermont’s agricultural landscape is changing as the localvore movement shapes what is grown and raised here. In short, we offer a bird’s eye view of the transformations taking place on farms, within communities, and inside people’s kitchens and gardens throughout the state.Each issue of Local Banquet features original writing by Vermont farmers, stories about tasty local food products, and recipes involving unusual Vermont crops. Other stories may focus on foraging, gardening, or do-it-yourself challenges that can take one's local food participation to a new level.
